Prepare Your Facility for Installation

Before your on-site equipment is installed, it’s important to ensure your facility is ready. Following the steps below will help streamline the process and avoid delays.

1. Identify Equipment Needs

Before installation, our team will perform a site evaluation to determine the best equipment setup for your facility.

This process includes:

  • A walkthrough of your facility

  • Reviewing your current scrap generation process

  • Identifying where materials are produced, stored, and moved

Based on your company’s output and operational flow, we’ll recommend and provide the appropriate equipment to optimize collection, storage, and service scheduling.

We provide the following equipment:

  • Collection Bins (roll-offs, 4x7 bins, 4x3 bins, 55 gal drums)

  • Totes and Tilt Hoppers for internal material handling

  • Platform Scales for on-site weighing and tracking

  • Smart Tags and printing tools for asset tracking

  • Custom Solutions for specialized materials or processes

Our goal is to ensure you have the right tools to streamline operations and maximize material value.

2. Complete Your Setup Form

To ensure your portal is fully configured prior to installation, please complete the following:

  • Determine which team members will need access to the online portal

  • Fill out the New User Form (provided by our team via email)

  • Submit a list of your material types

This allows us to set up your platform, assign user roles, and pre-load your materials so your system is ready to go on day one.

Tip: Click the following links to learn more about User Permission Types and Account Setup to assign the right access to your team and ensure smooth onboarding.

Once your form is submitted, our team will review the details and confirm everything is in place before your scheduled install.

3. Choose an Installation Location

Designate a clean, accessible area near the scrap generation point or material staging zone. Make sure the space:

  • Has a level surface

  • Is protected from weather (if equipment is sensitive)

  • Allows for easy forklift or pallet jack access

Tip: Mark the area ahead of time to reserve space and avoid last-minute rearranging.

4. Confirm Power & Connectivity

Our equipment may require access to power or internet. Check with your CLS contact to confirm:

  • Power supply (110V or 220V, depending on the unit)

  • Network connectivity (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) for smart devices and kiosks

5. Notify Your Team

Let relevant team members know the installation date and who will be on-site. Assign a point of contact to assist the technician during installation if needed.

5. Schedule the Installation

Once you're ready, coordinate with our team to schedule your installation. We’ll confirm the date, time, and technician assigned.
